Dear Parents/Guardians,
OUR SECONDARY THREE NORMAL TECHNICAL MATCHING EXERCISE AND SUBJECT COMBINATIONS FOR 2009
Our Normal Technical pupils have always performed very well over the last five years. Our results are always above the national averages and last year we achieved 100% passes in the GCE N level examinations. This is really encouraging and we are very proud of them. We would continue to inspire and motivate our pupils to learn and achieve.
Our aim at Tampines Secondary is to provide a holistic education for our Normal Technical pupils so that they can make a valued contribution to society. In line with MOE’s initiative to provide more opportunities for the Normal Technical stream, the school will consider allowing our Normal Technical pupils to offer one or two subjects at a higher level (at the Normal Academic level). In addition, the school will be offering Elective Modules (EMs) conducted by external service providers and the ITE to the upper secondary Normal Technical pupils. The Elective Modules are aimed at enriching the existing curriculum, to develop our pupils ’interests and strengths in specific areas, and to better prepare them for a course in the ITEs.
We believe very strongly that our Normal Technical pupils can learn and achieve. We want all of them to continue their studies at the ITE Colleges and then go on for higher challenges.
